A rare opportunity has opened for a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to step into a specialist leadership role within the SAFE service, supporting individuals impacted by sexual assault and/or family violence. This role is ideal for an RN who is confident, compassionate, and committed to trauma-informed care, and who is ready to influence practice, guide multidisciplinary teams and advocate for vulnerable clients across the region.

About the Opportunity

An opportunity has become available for an experienced RN to step into a specialised Clinical Nurse Consultant – SAFE position, supporting clients impacted by sexual assault and/or family violence. This role plays a critical part in delivering timely clinical response, trauma-informed assessment, and leadership across prevention-focused initiatives.

You will provide specialist advice, guide multidisciplinary teams, and strengthen the hospital’s capacity to respond sensitively and effectively during some of the most vulnerable moments in a person’s life. Skills and Experience

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
    • Experience in SAFE, sexual assault, family violence, emergency or mental health settings
    • Strong assessment, risk identification & safety planning capability
    • Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams
    • Skilled in trauma-informed communication and sensitive engagement
    • Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded (or working toward)
